For these pieces I used relief printmaking with wood, my inspiration was some moments from pop culture, and the world around me. In today's time and age we consume media at a seriously increased rate, but we mustn't forget where it stems from. Relief printing, especially woodcut printing has almost always been around, it was there at the very start from 7-9th century Asia, to 14-15th century Europe, and even 20th century screen printing. I created these prints to connect the past to my personal present.
